Leicester Photographer Changes From iPhone to Android.
Ever since I have owned an iPhone I have never been able to do any work on it because the keys are just too fiddly, the phone is buggy and Apple put a lot of restrictions on the phone, which means that I have to jailbreak it on order to make it a viable phone for business use. So I am currently testing a Samsung S3 out to see how I get on with it and comparing IOS to Android.
I have found a number of benefits that I think are worth mentioning when comparing an IPhone4 to the Samsung S3.
- The S3 has a faster CPU than Apple iPhone 4 and a faster CPU means a more smooth experience.
- Even though the phone is slightly bigger than Apple iPhone 4. The slimmer S3 means it is easier to carry in pocket and looks more fashionable
- The screen is much bigger than Apple iPhone 4. Which means that reading, browsing internet and watching movies is more pleasing experience on a bigger screen.
- Samsung Galaxy S3 has a slot for a memory card. Memory cards give your device more storage capacity. So I can store more songs, photos and videos.
After writing this small post with said phone I can certainly see the benefits of using an S3 over an iPhone – if for no reason more than the keyboard is more responsive and the spell check system is far more intuitive. The speed of the Samsung is also a great selling point and isnt buggy or slow and runs consistently smooth.
So my mind is made up and I will be changing phones very shortly and to be honest not before time – I have got a bit sick of the bi-annual mission of jail-breaking my iPhone.
Bye Bye IOS and hello Android.
Update: A little update on this article and just to let you know that in the end I actually opted for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. It has all of the functionality of the Samsung S3 and still runs android but has a larger screen and smart pen. For me this means that I am now totally mobile and can work from absolutely anywhere.
